Dundee passengers up 12%

Passenger numbers at Dundee Airport have risen by 12% in the last year.
Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL) said a total of 75,346 people took flights from the airport in 2009/10 compared to 67,368 the previous year.
All routes from the airport have experienced growth - particularly between Dundee and London City Airport. However, across the entire Highlands & Islands Airports Group there was an 8% decline in passenger numbers - down to 1,193,663 from 1,296,303 - consistent with the current struggles of the aviation industry.
