Derry Airport management deal ‘done’

A deal that will see a private company take over the management of City of Derry Airport has been completed, the Derry Journal reports. In June, Derry City Council announced it was close to finalising a deal with the Balfour Beatty Group, the owner operator of Exeter and Blackpool airports. The Journal reports that the deal has now been agreed.
A spokeswoman for City of Derry Airport Operations (CODA) told the newspaper: ‘CODA (operations) Ltd has agreed a management contract with a Balfour Beatty Company with a date for formal completion expected shortly.’
