Farmers Carlisle Airport expansion challenge postponed
29.09.09
A decision over a farmer's fight against plans for the multi-million pound development of Carlisle Airport has been postponed at the High Court. Thomas Brown is seeking a judicial review over the city council's approval of Stobart Air's plans for the site.
Mr Brown says the planning authority failed to consider the environmental impact of runway and terminal improvements when granting planning permission last year. A judge has decided to defer the farmer's review application until a later date.
