Bristol Airport expects busy weekend
27.06.09
With the Glastonbury Festival underway this weekend, demand for Bristol Airport has been strong. And in preparation for everyone leaving the Somerset music event on Sunday and Monday, the hub has installed a special Wellington boot washer, the Mercury reports.
People have been heading to the airport from all over the world to enjoy music from the likes of Blur, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. Alison Roberts, general manager of the airport, told the newspaper: ‘The week of Glastonbury is always a busy but enjoyable one. While we hope the sun shines this time, we have learned from previous years to be prepared for an influx of muddy passengers following the festival.’
