Bristol Airport alcohol warning

Holiday makers using Bristol Airport are being warned not to drink to excess before boarding their flights, as we approach the busy summer period. Know Your Limits signs are being placed in bars and at check-in desks in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour.
Airport police say that the campaign is aimed at the minority of passengers whose behaviour becomes unacceptable through drinking too much. Drunken passengers causing trouble are warned they risk being grounded and could also be arrested.
Airport based PC Andy Bibbings said: ‘We want passengers to enjoy their time at Bristol Airport and enjoy the new facilities in the departure lounge. But we would remind passengers that they are also responsible for their own behaviour and the impact of their behaviour on other people.'
‘If passengers consume too much alcohol in the airport and they act drunkenly, abusively, or threateningly, then they will not be allowed to fly and airport police will deal with them robustly and appropriately.’
A spokesman for the airport added: ‘The 'Know your Limits' campaign isn't trying to stop people enjoying themselves as they set off on holiday. In fact, by discouraging anti-social behaviour, we hope to create a more welcoming environment in the terminal.’
