Bristol Airport remind passengers of liquid rules
05.07.11
A spokesman for Bristol Airport has said that millions of pounds worth of liquids are being thrown away at airport departure gates because passengers are still forgetting to check security regulations. British women will be forced to throw away a staggering £10 million worth of liquids at airport departure gates this summer, with more than three million items including perfume, sun creams, deodorants and drinks discarded before passengers make it though to the departure lounge.
Bristol Airport spokesman James Gore said: ‘With the summer coming up, it is a good chance to remind travellers what they can't take through security. It is easy to forget the regulations. Some of the items passengers get confused with are things like makeup and even Marmite. There's no problem with taking these items as long as they are packed in your main baggage for the hold and not in your hand luggage. You can get a full list of the regulations on the airport website.’
