New Madeira flights from Blackpool Airport

Passengers will be able to travel from Blackpool Airport to Madeira this summer after a holiday company has decided to expand its operation from the travel hub. Atlantic Holidays, a Portuguese specialist, will offer seven night packages to the island's capital Funchal with flights from Blackpool Airport.
Holidaymakers can choose from three to five star accommodation, with travel dates between May 23 and September 26. A spokesman for the holiday company said:
‘We are delighted to add Blackpool Airport to our portfolio. We are confident that Madeira will prove extremely popular. We will be using a Monarch Airlines A320 aircraft to operate these flights solely for Atlantic Holidays.'
