Flybe report heavy late summer demand

Regional budget airline Flybe has reported heavy demand for last-minute holiday flights to France and Spain. Ticket sales to both destinations are up by 10 percent on last year, as Brits look to escape the dreary summer weather and enjoy the last few days of summer in the sun.
The airline has said that it is setting records for travel to traditional regional holiday spots as well, including flights to and from the Channel Islands, to the Isle of Man and also to Scotland. As a result, Flybe is forecasting an overall 11 percent increase in its passenger numbers for this summer compared to 2007.
