Birmingham Airport Kinder Egg drugs find
26.07.08
Boarder Control officers had a ‘Kinder Surprise’ when they discovered a woman smuggling drugs using a plastic container from one of the children's treats, the Post reports. The traveller arrived at Birmingham Airport with 30g of cannabis hidden in a container from the chocolate egg - normally used to hold a plastic toy.
The container had been concealed in an intimate body cavity, a spokesman for the UK Border Service said. It was discovered using body-scanning technology after the passenger arrived on a flight from Lisbon, Portugal. The woman, from the Coventry area, was arrested and later released with a formal warning.
