Community programme for Birmingham Airport
26.05.08
Staff from Birmingham Airport will tour local areas in June as part of a community engagement scheme. They will be visiting a number of locations in order to raise awareness of the airports operations and strengthen relationships with neighbouring communities. The meetings will also give residents a chance to voice concerns over issues such as noise pollution and environmental issues.
Commenting on the programme, airport spokesman John Morris said: ‘Our team is extremely knowledgeable, with many years experience. We have specialist in all matters relating to the airport including environmental issues and the many programmes in place to help surrounding communities. Everyone's welcome so just pop in, pull up a chair, and find out more about what’s going on at Birmingham Airport.’
Starting on 5th June the team will be at the following venues and times:
Balsall Common Library, Kenilworth Road, Balsall Common: Thursday June 5, 10:00 - 13:00
Marston Green Library, Land Lane, Marston Green: Thursday June 19, 10:00 - 13:00
The Pump, 286 Kitts Green Road, Lea Village: Tuesday July 1, 10:00 - 13:00
Sheldon Library, Brays Road, Sheldon: Friday July 18, 10:00 - 13:00
