Birmingham Airport passengers up 1.5%

Birmingham Airport had 984,245 passengers during September, including 687,139 scheduled passengers and 297,106 charter passengers spread across the two passenger terminals; an increase of 1.5% over the previous year. Growth was achieved on EU routes of 14.5%, while the Irish Republic saw an increase of 7.2%.
Scheduled routes that experienced growth in September included: Bratislava (+808.4%), Stuttgart (+617%), Larnaca (+86.6%), Inverness (+69.6%), Marseille (+52.5%), Milan (+50.3%), Ercan (+45.2%), Ibiza (+44%) and Dusseldorf (+32.2%). Charter traffic experienced on routes including Egypt (+73.1%), Croatia (+24.5%), Madeira (+24.2%), Mexico (+20.9%), Dominican Republic (+14.5%) and Bulgaria (+5%).
