Flybe launch winter schedule and ‘connections’
08.07.08
Flybe has released its new winter schedule covering the 2008 to 2009 season. At the same time the regional budget airline has announced a new booking service called ‘Flybe Connections’ that will allow customers to book their flight plan in one easy process, even if that includes multiple stops in their travel plans. This is particularly relevant as Flybe has added flights offered by new franchise partner Loganair, which offers flights between the Highlands and Islands and Scotland's main airports.
Flybe’s 2008/9 winter schedule, effective October 26, includes a range of popular sun, ski and UK and European destinations suitable for both business and leisure travel. The flights are available for booking now at www.flybe.com.
Flybe Connections means that customers will now be able to build an itinerary of Flybe routes. For example, passengers travelling between the Isle of Man and Jersey via Gatwick would previously have had to make two bookings: now they can book with just one transaction, i.e. Isle of Man to Jersey.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Flybe, Mike Rutter, said: 'Our pioneering franchise agreement with Loganair has enabled us to substantially increase our route offering over the winter months. We’re excited to now be in the position to offer an intra regional travel network throughout Scotland second to none and provide Loganair passengers with easily accessible and low cost connections to destinations across the UK and regional Europe.’
‘With the launch of ‘Flybe Connections’ we’re making it even easier for our UK regional air passenger to get their hands on great value through flights at the click of a mouse.’
