03.06.08
Travellers can now fly directly from Birmingham Airport to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, after bmibaby launched the new route last week. The airline started the new connection on May 27 and expects to carry more than 700 people between the two cities in the route's first week.
Crawford Rix, managing director of the airline, said that the inaugural flight was 95 percent full and said the number of forward bookings was ‘extremely encouraging’. Bmibaby now serves 24 destinations from Birmingham airport, with Warsaw joining routes including Alicante, Rome, Palma, Bordeaux and Edinburgh.
