New recruits at Birmingham Airport
01.08.08
Birmingham Airport has appointed staff to two new posts in its environment team. The airport says the two new positions – an environment systems officer and community relations assistant – will help ensure its work in managing its environmental performance and developing relations with the local community.
The two new recruits, Patrick Collins (environment systems officer) and Michelle Thomas (community relations assistant) are tasked with helping to mitigate the effects of the airport’s operations. A spokesman said that Patrick’s role will be critical in helping the team develop its environment programmes, particularly on issues of air quality and climate change, whilst Michelle will be working on community complaints and enabling the team to take a greater role in managing local noise impacts.
