New food outlets open at Belfast International Airport

A major refurbishment project, including five new food and drink units, has been opened at Belfast International Airport. The project is part of a £1.5m investment at the airport by food travel company SSP, creating 60 new jobs and giving passengers a much wider range of dining choices.
Stormont First Minister, Peter Robinson, and the Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness were at the airport to officially open the new dining complex, just months after a royal visit, when Her Majesty the Queen formally opened a new departures area. The First Minister and DUP Leader said: ‘I congratulate the airport authorities and SSP on these wonderful new facilities. These new units offer a much wider range of dining options to the air traveller and this will be welcomed.'
‘This investment has also led to the creation of new jobs at the airport. In today's challenging economic climate, this is good news not only for Belfast International Airport, but for the wider local economy.’
