Belfast Airport drug smugglers jailed

Two Dutch sisters who, whilst operating as ‘drug mules’, were caught trying to smuggle £60,000 of cocaine into the UK have been jailed.
Siegnette and Siegnerella Flaneur concealed the drugs in their bodies. They were arrested on arrival at Belfast International Airport in April after they were stopped by UK Border Agency officers. The pair were taken to a local hospital to be X-rayed, and later 406 grammes of cocaine were seized.
Siegnette, 26, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years and Siegnerella, 22, for three years at Coleraine Magistrates Court yesterday.
