Investigation in to near miss

Aviation authorities are investigating a near miss between a military aircraft and an Aberdeen Airport bound flight at 11,000ft, the Press & Journal reports. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed that an Aircraft Proximity report has been filed after an Embraer 135 and a military aircraft came too close to each other on April 10.
The incident happened 10 miles north-west of Norwich at 08:46 when the E135, which can carry around 40 passengers, was en route to Aberdeen. The newspaper reports that the flight was a scheduled bmi regional flight, but no one from the airline was available for comment last night.
The Aircraft Proximity report — known as an airprox — is now being considered by the UK Airprox Board, which investigates all near-miss incidents involving aircraft in British airspace.
