Big drugs seizure at Aberdeen Airport
26.06.07
Customs officers have made a major seizure of cocaine at Aberdeen Airport. Drugs with an estimated street value of about £300,000 were recovered at the airport on Sunday.
The drugs were found in baggage on a flight that arrived in the city from Paris. A man, believed to be from Togo, has been arrested in connection with the discovery.
Drug smugglers are increasingly targeting smaller airports. The latest drugs seizure comes less than two weeks after it was announced that £1 million of the drug was discovered at the airport in a case belonging to a Nigerian man who had travelled from Lagos via Amsterdam.
