Aberdeen Airport - Houston flight launch delayed
22.12.07
City Star Executive has announced today that Aberdeen Airport's first scheduled transatlantic service to Houston Texas is facing delays. The airline is working closely with its customers to ensure the service will go ahead in 2008, website boarding.no reports. The news comes despite statements just 10 days ago that the route was still on track.
Atli Arnason, chief executive of City Star, said: 'It is extremely unfortunate that we are facing delays in the launch of the new service. We can however assure the business community that this service will commence with ongoing support and sufficient commitment from our potential customers.'
'The reason for the change to City Star Executive's business plan is due to a number of unforeseen changes to its aviation operations in Aberdeen, a down turn in the financial climate and higher fuel prices since this venture was announced.'
