21.09.06
Bristow Helicopters have completed refurbishment of its Passenger Terminal at Aberdeen Airport. The facilities include new and improved passenger comfort, safety and security as well as better passenger flow.
The improvements include air conditioning and lightning to the building with a quiet seating lounge, as well as internet access, a 'breakfast bar' area and a new departure gate to reduce congestion for passengers. A reconfigured arrivals channel has provided more space for inbound passengers.
Aberdeen Airport refurbishment is part of a major £1.25 million investment programme. Bristow's Director of European Operations, John Cloggie said: 'This underpins Bristow's long term commitment to providing a service of value and excellence to clients.'
Also included in the refurbishment is a new dedicated logistics centre for Bristow's International Supply Chain Hub, improvements to the maintenance facilities and new office accommodation for staff located at the base. The complete programme is expected to be completed by the end of 2006.
