Strongman fails in Aberdeen Airport plane pull

A strongman has failed in a bid to drag a 20-tonne plane along Aberdeen Airport’s runway. Steve Evans only managed to pull the Saab 2000 airliner forward by a foot during the challenge.
The 40-year-old strongman said he was ‘devastated’ not to have met his target of dragging the plane 65ft along the runway. He said he thought he had attached the tow rope to the wrong point on the plane, making it harder for him to get going along the runway.
Steve promised he would take part in the challenge again. He said: ‘I’ll do it next year.’
