Flyglobespan offer jobs to City Star staff
15.02.08
Budget airline Flyglobespan is offering employment to some of the people who lost their jobs with the collapse of Aberdeen Airport based City Star Airlines. It could recruit up to 10 cabin crew to work on its summer programme from the airport, which begins in April.
Flyglobespan chairman Tom Dalrymple said: ‘We would be delighted if we could offer positions to some of the staff who recently lost their jobs. We would much prefer the cabin crew for our Aberdeen flights to come from that area rather than bring them up from Glasgow or Edinburgh.'
Flyglobespan will fly to seven destinations from Aberdeen Airport this summer - to Alicante, Barcelona, Cyprus, Faro, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife. It has been flying to Malaga and Tenerife during the winter. City Star ceased operations on January 30.
