Community service for drunk air passenger
08.01.12
An oil worker who was drunk and abused cabin crew on a flight from Heathrow to Aberdeen has been given a community service order and was criticised by a sheriff, the Evening Express reports.
Paul McArdle spent 40 minutes pressing the call button demanding more alcohol after being refused service. He also repeatedly made racist remarks to cabin steward Keivin Richardson-Crane, who was on duty on his own on the BMI Airbus plane.
McArdle, whose address was given at Aberdeen Sheriff Court as West Lodge, Ethie Barns, Arbroath, was ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service.
