Second baggage handling change at Aberdeen Airport for Loganair
06.12.07
BA franchise airline Loganair is changing is baggage handler at Aberdeen Airport for the second time this year. Having moved to Servisair after BA closed its ground services operation at the airport, Servisair decided to pull out of the north east airport last month. Since then Loganair has been training staff from Regional Handling Ltd, who takes over the contract on Saturday.
Loganair chief executive Peter Tierney said that there should be a 'smooth handover' and the airline's overall operation at Aberdeen should not affected by the change. He said they had been warned about the change and had been able to bring in their own staff to train the new company over the past month, which had not been possible when BA pulled out in April.
Lets hope it is smoother than when Servisair took over, after which there were complaints about luggage going missing and failing to arrive on time.
